Reading Chinese This Way is an exciting six-level, skill-based reading series. Each level uses 15 thematically organized reading passages to train learners to become competent and fluent readers of Chinese. Interesting readings, chosen to cater for learners' interests at differ-ent levels. Range of text types including graphs, charts, interviews, letters, and narratives. Reading strategies including skimming, scanning, predicting, etc. Pre-reading activities activate learners' prior knowledge and pique their curiosity about the topic to be studied.
